Magneto Goggles With Fixed Foam Features:
The Story of Magneto
The driving force behind the Magneto was a desire to create a completely new, premium racing goggle - and to include with it breakthrough, purposeful technology.
Combining input from dozens of professional riders and our ten years’ experience producing premium motocross goggles, we focused on three technical issues:
1. Foam: The technology is antiquated. Let’s rethink this important component that is. Your only physical contact with a goggle.
2. Visibility: We wanted the most generous field of vision possible.
3. Venting: How could we optimize airflow to eliminate fogging?
Foam: The Magneto features patent pending SelectronTM foam, a completely removable and replaceable face-foam system. The idea behind SelectronTM is to allow riders to pick the foam that best meets their needs. Also, it enables riders to replace old, sweat-saturated foam with a fresh part.
Visibility: The low profile geometry of the Magneto allows us to maximize the field of vision. The view through the oversized, anti-fog-treated, polycarbonate lens is unhindered, making for a true, panoramic experience.
Venting: Our proprietary Scoop® venting system has been optimized in the Magneto. We engineered the vents to be placed at the base of the frame, and arranged the micro-cast alloy Scoop grills to direct air away from riders’ eyes.
Design: The Magneto frame design is the aggressive progeny of our Alloy goggle. The angular appearance of the frame is comprised of sharp overlays and increased volume in the multiple, raised planes. The look was inspired, says Spy designer and motocross rider Jerome Mage, "by angular stealth jets, evil Star Wars Sith masters, the lines and toughness of classic American muscle cars, and the luxurious vibe of old Cadillacs."
The Magneto. Consider the bar -raised.
SelectronTM Foam
SelectronTM foam gives you options never before possible.. No longer do you need to carry multiple goggles to swap as you sweat through the foam. Damaged, dirty, or sweat-saturated foam can be easily washed or replaced.. No longer do you need to commit to one foam-fit on a goggle. You choose your preferred fit and replace as needed.
We unveil this patent pending technology with two fits: Pro Series - firm, low profile, and SAS-compatible for race day; and SuperPlush - soft and compliant for everyday use. More fits to come.
*Magneto goggles equipped with SelectronTM foam include:
1) Pro Series SelectronTM foam fit;
2) SuperPlush SelectronTM foam fit;
3) Sweat absorbing SAS pad (disposable!);
4) 3rd Clip for improved tear-offs performance.
-Magneto goggles with fixed foam are fitted with SuperPlush-style foam.
Suggested retail: $65.95 - $70.95
