Pros:
excellent protection
Cons:
uncomfortable, needs a gaitor on top
I have been wearing SG-10's for almost six months now. I have ridden in all condtions from rain to snow. The boot as a whole is a fairly good boot. There is no gaitor and no matter what I do, I always seem to get dirt down in my boot. Once I get them tightened enough to provide enough ankle support, it is almost impossible to walk around in them. I will say that the support issue is mainly because I wear a half size and I have to really tighten the boots because of this.

Pros:
Hinged boot. Need I say more.
Cons:
Hinge in a different location than other hinged boots.
I retired my Sidi SRS, and picked up a pair of Gaerne well over a year ago. My initial thought was that I made a mistake. This was only because I was use to the placement of the hinge on the Sidi. And the Gaerne has a slight, different placement of their hinge. After a handfull of rides I was hooked on the Gaerne. I wear knee braces, and there is more than enough room, in this boot to accomadate knee braces. So knee cups should be no problems either. I run wide, aftermarket pegs and after a whole season the soles are holding up fine. The buckles are trouble-free, and the straps are easy to adjust. Once my foot is in this boot, there is no side to side movement. I can only pivot forward and backwards. And this is after a year of riding on them, hard riding. These are a great boot, IMO

Excellent ankle support, Easy buckles, more comfortable than any boot out there

Cons:

NONE!

This boot is amazing. I know there are lots of alpinestars loyalists out there, but this boot will convert anyone. this boot is more supportive than the tech 8, while still flexible and ultra comfortable. Also, the gaerne sole compound is the best out there, and doesnt wear down like the alpinestars. Trust me, you need these boots.
